José joined Sánchez Devanny in 2016 as part of the Labor, Immigration and Social Security area. The firm represents several national and transnational companies of different sectors, including banking, automotive, communications, chemistry, pharmaceutical, motor transport, restaurant, and household appliances.

José has experience of more than 6 years in Labor and Social Security litigation, working on high level collective and individual cases. Likewise, he consults on labor and social security matters, as well as assistance in the transfer and termination of executive employees, labor aspects of mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and privatization of companies.

Before joining Sánchez Devanny, he served as a lawyer in an important law firm working in Labor and Social Security in Mexico City, where he participated in assistance and follow-up on high-level collective and individual cases, before entering in the process of the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards of Mexico City and those located elsewhere in the Mexican Republic.

Prior to his specialization as a lawyer in Labor and Social Security, he served as part of the legal staff of an important company located within the Customs Sector in Mexico. He was also part of the Judicial Branch of the State of Mexico within the Fourth Civil Court of Small Claims in the City of Toluca, Mexico.

He graduated in Law from the Instituto Universitario del Estado de México in 2014, his professional thesis being, “El Arraigo”, violation of the fundamental right of innocence in Mexico.” He studied the specialty of Amparo (Constitutional claim) Law at the Universidad Panamericana de la Ciudad de México in 2016. In addition, he completed the diploma course, “Strategic Planning and High Business Management Tools,” taught by the Mexican Bar, Buffet Law Association, and currently is an active member of BNI (Business Network International), and is studying for his Master’s Degree in Constitutional Procedural Law at the Universidad Panamericana de la Ciudad de México.
