Diego worked for 7 years for a Mexican transactional firm before joining Sánchez Devanny, in capital markets, advising both issuers and underwriters in the structuring of public offerings of equity, quasi-equity and debt and their issuance, in the banking and finance specialty area, and in important financing and refinancing transactions in which he has represented foreign and domestic financial institutions.

In the area of mergers and acquisitions, Diego advised buyers (both financial and strategic), sellers and financial advisors in the sale of companies and assets in various sectors, including acquisitions through public offerings, leveraged buyouts and reorganizations, with special emphasis on advising private equity funds, structuring, as well as acquisitions and divestitures of companies and assets.
He assisted in founding and is part of the Pro Bono Legal Department of a leading national law firm (since awarded numerous international pro bono awards), specializing in advising NGOs, as well as civil organizations including UNHCR, Amicus Curiae, World Bank, and others, in various legal matters.
