More than 10 years of legal experience, and over 8 years of experience focused on the field of taxation, providing advice and assisting in M&A transactions for national and international clients from different industries. His experience also covers tax controversy and litigation; Pedro has represented large multinationals and financial institutions on tax inspections and refund applications, successfully obtaining tax refunds and resolutions reducing or, in some cases, eliminating potential liabilities before the Mexican Tax Authority, or through conclusive settlements before the Mexican Tax Advocate (Procuraduría de la Defensa del Contribuyente or “PRODECON”).
Regarding litigation, Pedro represented client’s interests in several procedures before the Federal Court of Administrative Justice, including the recently created Chamber of Trials on Substance, and some of those cases have risen to the Supreme Court of Justice. Also, Pedro has experience in constitutional procedures challenging different Federal and local tax laws and their regulations.
