On November 27, we participated in the volunteering activity to recondition “Secondary School No. 63 Jesús Dionisio de González” (which in the evening shift is called “Secondary School No. 23 Niños Héroes”), as part of the Project “Sponsor a School” of Unir y Dar Foundation, supported by the Private Initiative and the Government of the State of Nuevo León.

The “Sponsor a School” project consists of two projects:

  • Fundraising for the purchase of materials and supplies required by the schools.
  • Volunteering, to carry out basic reconditioning tasks: painting, gardening, cleaning, sanitation, installation of computer equipment, etc.

The firm decided to support both projects, the first through a donation made by the firm and through a collection made among collaborators; and the second project through participation in the volunteer brigades.

Some of our Monterrey office colleagues participated in this activity and, together with friends and family, met up early to carry out their assigned reconditioning tasks on the facilities of this school.

Some teachers of this institution stated that they are infinitely grateful since their students will be able to return to classes in a decent space and with the conditions to continue their courses, since crime left the school without electrical wiring, computer equipment and in total deterioration during the months of confinement due to the pandemic.

We thank everyone who participated in this commendable work that teaches us that dedicating a little of our time to this type of activity can transform the lives of many people.
