Emilio joined Sánchez Devanny in 2012 as part of the Tax practice group, where he advises national and foreign clients on tax issues, especially litigation. He has 12 years of professional experience. He is a senior associate of the firm, focusing on tax, administrative and social security litigation, tax audits, administrative proceedings before the tax authorities and the Federal Taxpayers Attorney, as well as the amparo process. He has extensive experience closing tax audits before a tax credit assessment.
Before joining Sánchez Devanny, Emilio practiced at the Central Administration for the Litigation of Major Taxpayers of the Tax Administration Service (“SAT”) where he strengthened his broad experience regarding tax litigation, applicable fiscal legislation for corporations, and the SAT regular inspection. He also worked in one of the most prestigious Mexican firms in Tax Planning and Litigation, where he advised clients about demands and fiscal resources before federal and state courts and before the National Supreme Court of Justice. He started his career at a well known Mexican law firm specializing in tax advice.
